MFT/Adjunct Faculty - California

Job Summary

Cambridge College is currently seeking outstanding Marriage and Family Practitioners-Scholars to join our diverse pool of adjunct faculty to teach on the School of Psychology and Counseling program, for the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to deliver instruction in the manner determined by the department. Faculty responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of syllabus and teaching of curriculum according to the goals and objectives of the SOPC department.
  • Participation in meetings and departmental activities as identified by the regional director or program coordinator.
  • Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades from evaluation of tests, quizzes, homework, and other assignments and activities related to course material.
  • Use of technology and MY CC program to prepare syllabus, course assignments and grades.
  • Office hours in relation to the course load carried.

Qualifications

  • Exemplary Professional Experience
  • Must have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related area.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
  • Licensure in Field for certain selected courses
  • Graduate teaching experience minimum 1 year
  • The ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds

Additional Responsibilities

Assigned teaching duties will not exceed 6 units per semester; office hours and additional duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
  • Self-starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
