Kick-Off of New York / Tri-State Regional Chapter of the Alumni Association
On Thursday, December 3rd something momentous and magical took place in New York City. No, it wasn’t the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, which happened the night before. It was the very first Cambridge College Alumni Holiday Reception, hosted by the Alumni Association and held at the venerable Yale Club of New York City on Vanderbilt Ave.
The evening celebration kicked off the New York / Tri-State Regional Chapter of the Alumni Association which is newly formed as of this September. President Deborah Jackson welcomed the small but enthusiastic gathering of alumni, most of whom studied at Cambridge College through the very successful NITE program (now called Summer Institutes). Highlights of the evening included President Jackson’s warm welcome and Trustee and alumnus Susan Ifill’s ’97 challenge to the gathered to stay connected, build the program in New York, and give back to the College which helped them achieve all that they have achieved as educators, nurses and professionals!
Kevin Driscoll, Director of Alumni, was pleased to return to Cambridge with not only a newly formed Alumni Association Chapter, but new members of the Alumni Council, and Chapter Presidents! Thanks to all who braved the NYC Traffic Gridlock Alert and joined us on this wonderful occasion!
